Sometimes we are served unexpected adversaries. What has been an endearing ritual is now being threatened by a brute force called the Train.
The last thirty day morning ritual saw me wake up luxuriously beginning with a wake up video call with my sourface. I would lie in and slowly drift out of my dreams gently with the help of my lover. Then, continuing our conversation, I would drag my feet to the kitchen to make myself a cup of coffee. As I felt my world awaken, by my lover’s side, there used to be nothing to stop my transformation into a human.
But now, my first morning in New Jersey meant I had a morning enemy, the train! This beast did not care for my dreams neither did she care to wait for my coffee. It just had me at its mercy. Be there or else… Be stranded!
This mortal enemy is now threatening my very survival ritual every morning–the chat with my lover. Like hell i’m going to surrender. I’m going to beat the train from coming between me and my lover. And my unlikely Friend in my hour of need–the alarm clock!
